# The Optional Decrees: The Identity of the Competition

Not all decrees are required, but those who seek to **elevate their challenge** may choose to **shape its form, its message, and its calling**. The **chain does not require these**—but mortals do.

A well-crafted **identity** may **draw more to the challenge**, forge a **greater following**, and ensure that **the competition is remembered long after it concludes**.

**The Name – The Eternal Mark of the Competition**

A title, set forth by the creator, that will forever **define the competition**. It is the **first call to believers**, the **identity of the test**.

* If no name is provided, the system will **automatically assign one**, composed of:
  * The **competition number**
  * The **ticker of the chosen asset**
  * The **split of the ticket price allocation** (e.g., **75/20** for token vs. prize pool)
* This ensures that **every competition carries an identity**, even if the creator remains silent.

**The Banner & Icon – The Sigil of the Challenge**

A **visual mark**, a **symbol of the competition**, a **beacon for believers**. These images serve as **the first impression**—a testament to the challenge ahead.

* If the **creator does not choose a banner or icon**, they will be **automatically sourced**:
  * The **icon** will be taken from **Solscan**.
  * The **banner** will be pulled from **DexTools**.
  * If no suitable images are found, a **placeholder sigil** will be set.

**The Social Links – The Messenger’s Call**

An **invitation to the faithful**, a means for those who follow to **spread the word and rally others to the cause**.

* When a **token is chosen**, its **metadata** is scanned, and any **official social links** (Twitter, Telegram, Discord, website) are **automatically filled in**.
* These **can be reviewed, updated, or replaced** before the competition is set live, ensuring that the creator has full control over how the **competition is shared and spread**.

Though these marks are **not required**, those who seek to **build the greatest competitions** understand their power.

A **competition without a name is just a number**.\
A **competition without a sigil is easily forgotten**.\
A **test without a message may go unheard**.

The **faithful will gather regardless**—but those who **leave their mark** will be remembered long after the test has ended.
